Kumistavi Cave, also known as Prometheus Cave, is located near the town of Tskhaltubo and about 20 km from Kutaisi, in the Imereti region, in western Georgia. After the discovery of the cave in 1984, it was almost immediately made a tourist attraction. Kumistavi is the largest cave in Georgia. Only a tenth of it is open to tourists, and even so, a walk through the cave takes almost an hour. Inside there are underground lakes and rivers, there is very high humidity and there are bats, which, however, do not bother tourists, because they fly very high.
Okatse Canyon is a gorge of the Okatse River, from which it got its name. It is located in western Georgia, 50 kilometers from the city of Kutaisi. At the moment, it is one of the most popular natural attractions of the country and in terms of its entertainment is compared with the cave of Prometheus and the Sataplia reserve.
Each of these places has its own zest. At the Okatse canyon, it is a narrow suspension bridge with a length of more than a kilometer and a height of up to 140 meters above the cliff, which is about 45 floors. The spectacle is certainly spectacular and somewhat extreme, especially for those who are not a big fan of heights.
The Kinchkha waterfall is a natural landmark of Western Georgia. It is located in the canyon of the Okatse River. The place is quite wild and uncivilized, but this makes it even more attractive and mysterious. Location The Kinchkha Waterfall is located in the municipality of Khoni, which in turn is located in Imereti in Western Georgia. The nearest settlement to the waterfall is the village of Zeda-Kinchkha. It is located 26 kilometers from Khoni and is known only due to its proximity to the natural attractions of the region.
Martvili Canyon (or Gochkadili) is a beautiful and extraordinary creation of nature, located in the west of Georgia. It was discovered quite recently, but thanks to its beauty it has already become truly famous. Tourists from all over Georgia come to see this wonderful place. The canyon is located in the village of Gachedili, a few kilometers north of the city of Martvili, Megrelia region. Here, the Abashi River crosses limestone rocks, and in this place, over many thousands of years, a bewitching canyon has formed. The length of the Gochkadili canyon is 2400 meters, and the depth reaches 40 meters. There is a ledge in the middle of the canyon where the water falls down to form a stunning stepped waterfall 12 meters high. The walls of the canyon are a stone arch. Due to the very high humidity, beautiful vines grow here, and perennial mosses cover the walls of the canyon.
